Day 2

Well, I have made it to Day 2 of full time employment.  My head is spinning over the sheer enormity of information my tiny brain needs to absorb.

In the meantime however I have a found a doozy of a coffeehouse/cafe.  See, there is something good that is coming out of this work gig.

It is tucked in a darling area across the street from my building and they serve beautiful mochas and even more beautiful pain au chocolat croissants!  Day 2 found me practically running through the cross walk in order to reach them before they sold out.  Because they do.  Sell out.

I enjoy the area in which I work, downtown is lovely this time of year.  Today I walked to the library for example in between the rain of course!  People have been very kind and that means a lot.  It is going to be a long road  however and at this point I'm not certain I will be the kind of person they are looking for once they see my 'business prowess'  COUGH,COUGH!

I already have lots of funny observations about my job.  I was warned about this one and my friend was spot on.  This place loves the potlucks and when people bring food.  All of us newbies had to introduce ourselves and our backgrounds etc.  I shared my work past and then also included the fact that I had a baking business which allowed me to be a stay at home mom.  The group got all excited and the trainer actually said, "We don't really care about your past, we just want your baking."

Guess I know why I got the job!  :)

  1. Congratulations!! I'm doing the Romans bible study and the first question is, what is something that you are/were eager to do? Besides the usual things I could have said like sleep...I said, working outside the home. I miss it and have found myself thinking more about it.

I welcome comments but please if you are a hater, maybe keep it to yourself. In other words, don't be a dick.
