Luck of the Irish
So, I just finished reading this book called "An Irish Country Christmas." In the spirit of the season, I thought it would be festive and a relaxing read. And, it was. But, I learned some ahhhsome Irish phrases that cracked me up:
Dummy Tit = Pacifier
Colder than a Stepmother's Breath = It's Cold!
Bashoon = A naughty word that I won't write down but it would be fun to use!
Gobshite = Runny nose
Clabber = cow potty
Those are just a few of the hundreds used but sure thought it was funny.
Top o' the mornin' to ye!
