My friend from highschool posted on Facebook this statement made by the Vatican in response to the death of Osama Bin Laden.
Don't hate me for posting it. It gave me pause and consideration...
Statement from the Vatican (after acknowledging the great evil done by Osama Bin Laden)
"Faced with the death of a man, a Christian never rejoices , but reflects on the serious responsibility of everyone before God and man, and hopes and pledges that every event is not an opportunity for a further...growth of hatred, but of peace."

Don't apologize for posting this!! I've been struggling to figure out what my reaction should be, as it sounds like others have as well. My college friend posted this on FB....here's more fuel for the fire! : )

Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that.
